What is the difference between palliative care and hospice care?
Palliative care focuses on improving comfort, symptom management, stress reduction, communication, and quality of life during serious illness. Hospice care is typically considered when the focus shifts more toward comfort and quality of life.
Can families outside the United States use these resources or guidance sessions?
Yes. While much content discusses US healthcare systems, families in other countries are welcome to use the educational resources and request guidance sessions.
Are guidance sessions available in Gujarati?
Yes. Sessions can be conducted in English or Gujarati depending on what feels most comfortable for the family.
What happens after I submit the intake form?
Rupal reviews your information to understand the situation and determine whether a session would be helpful. If appropriate, you will receive scheduling information within 1–2 business days.
Can Nurse Rupal help with emergency symptoms?
No. This website and its services are not designed for emergencies. For severe symptoms, difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or another urgent issue, contact emergency services or the treating care team immediately.
Do I need to purchase a package?
No. Sessions are offered individually so families can decide what support they need without long-term commitments.
